You felt distant
even when you held me in your arms
(especially when you held me in your arms)

And slowly everything
wove into distance in between us
The words that escaped your lips
most of all

You always felt distant
Not because you were
but because I were

I let the distance build up
because I always imagined you as someone else
(because I always knew it wasn’t him after all)

  1. You've captured excellently the isolation of feeling that the person next to you might as well be on the next continent. Whenever that happens, I wish I could blame it on the other person, but I know it's me.

  2. This broke my little heart into tiny pieces. I think, of all kinds of relationship, this kind is the one that hurts the most.

    much love to you.

and p.s. your blog is truly amazing.

  4. Melee - Thank you. I know it's always me, and hardly ever the other person. I have a way of spreading the feeling of distance till it invades the other person's ribcage as well.

haze - It is one of those relationships that hurt the most, certainly among them. Thank you, dear. xx

minna - Thank you, Minna. xxx
